DECEASED Bathing

Basically, the corpse should be washed in its entirety, from head to toe. Awrah should be covered during.

Following Sunnah, one would start similar to wodoo’:

1. Wipe teeth and nose
2. Wash face three times
3. Wash arm and elbows three times
4. Wipe head and ears
5. Wash feet
6. Pour water on the head three times and wash with water and cedar
7. Pour water on the whole body at least once, preferably repeat to even number of time (3 or 5), or even more (even times) if necessary to remove any remaining dirt or sticky objects (glue from medical tape and the like). Use cedar, and preferably camphor with water in the final wash.
8. Shroud the corpse in a piece of cloth large enough to cover the whol ebody, from head to toe, with enough slack to tie, with a robe, above the head and below the feet. Add another tie in the waist area so that the corpse does not get exposed. You can use three sheets of fabric. Remember to undo the nodes in the grave
9. The prophet took a bath (ghusl) after bathing the deceased.

غسل الميت

يغسل كما يغتسل المؤمن الحي يغسل جميع جسده من رأسه إلى قدميه يعم بالغسل مرة واحدة، هذا الواجب، والأفضل أن يبدأ بمواضع الوضوء:

فيمسح أسنانه وأنفه

ويغسل وجهه, ثلاثًا أفضل

، و ذراعيه مع المرفقين ثلاثًا

، ويمسح رأسه مع أذنيه

ويغسل قدميه ذكرًا كان أو أنثى،

ثم يصب الماء على رأسه ثلاث مرات ويغسله بماء وسدر،

ثم يفيض الماء على جسده بادئًا بالشق الأيمن قبل الأيسر حتى يعم البدن مرة واحدة، هذا الواجب، وإذا كرره ثلاثًا يكون أفضل

وإذا كان به أوساخ أو لصوقات يزيد في الغسل حتى تزول الأوساخ كلها ولو إلى سبع لكن وترًا وترًا أفضل حتى تزول الأوساخ واللصوقات وينقى البدن بالماء والسدر،

ويستحب أن يكون فيه كافور في الغسلة الأخيرة شيء من الكافور؛ لأن هذا يطيب الجسد ويصلبه ويقويه ويطيب الرائحة.

ثم يكفن في ثوب يستره جميعًا من رأسه إلى قدميه، قطعة من الثوب تستره، والأفضل في ثلاث ثلاث لفائف كما كفن النبي ﷺ في ثلاث لفائف، تبسط واحدة فوق واحدة

ثم تلف عليه ويحزم ما فوق رأسه وما تحت رجليه بحزام، وهكذا وسطه، وتربط العقد عليه على رأسه ورجليه ووسطه حتى لا يخرج من الكفن،

فإذا وضع في اللحد شرع حل هذه العقد تحل، تفك وتبقى على حالها
